Fishing with Eric at Spring Hollow

Eric and I took some much needed time off to do some fishing on Thursday. We went up to Spring Hollow to see if we could find some hungry fish. We fished off the bridge for about 10 minutes before we got tired of watching the fish just look at our bait and laugh at us. The picture above is of the up-river portion of the third dam. That is where Eric caught 3 browns on worms. It was very tempting for me to use live worms when I saw him catching them but I am determined not to use live bait this year.

We both had our time with the willows in the small channel that the top of the damn that is in the picture below. And I almost went in the drink when the rock I was standing on was not as solid as I thought. But with my cat like reflexes I was able to get away with a wet foot. The picture below is the first fish of the day (and year) for Eric.
